Single mummy, who believes we should all strive to do our best in educating ourselves in choices we make on our childrens behalfs! Worried about how much the Western society are seperating themselves from what it is to be human. Ignoring what it is to be natural and trusting ourselves, and replacing it with our inventions and thinking we can outsmart nature. This is not the future I want for my children, Annabelle 3yrs and Lucy 1yr. Most of all Im passionate to get back to basics with pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding.

"Im holding my baby" The rate of cesarean is to high and the reasons are not good enough!

Birthing your baby is a process every human NEEDS to go through.........
I question the reasons. This surgical procedure should only be allowed in TRUE life or death cases. Sad thing is, we have lost touch with ourseleves and what we are capable of and given our trust to medical teams.....
After studying birth, the history, reasons for pain and all the rest. Im amazed births are not at home and only in rare cases would it be in a hospital.

Mistake.

I have made so many. This time I have hurt someone. I use this blog to say things that I cant say in real life......passion, frustration, anger, happiness, every emotion that gets the better of me.
Im a passionate person and very emotional!

Thing is I need to learn where that fine line between passion and pushy is.
I wanted to give all my info and I wanted to change her mind and make her see what I see.

Thing is with passion needs to come compassion and respect. Who knows that friendship may be forever over. But with its ending came learning. To respect and TRY, no matter how different, to see that persons point.

I have been called many things this past week that made me second guess myself and my ways. Thing is I keep coming to the same conclusion......Im happy with me and the woman Im becoming. I have SO many lessons to learn, tears to cry, people to love and loose, friendships to make and break and MISTAKES to make. But at least I can admit when Im wrong and learn:)

I still believe in my ways and what have learnt and continue to learn but it's to important to have respect for others and their 'choice', I can only hope that others respect mine.
Not just EXPECT respect but earn it.

We are all different but just as my desperation for others to 'see the light' that I see, they have their own light that they want me to see.

Sorry about the big emotional post but as I said you will get all my emotions on this blog, good and bad;)

A little background:)

I think I should post a little about my girls, my life:)

I wont post to much about them as I would like to keep my life and my blog a little seperate;)

But they are the reason for my choices in life, so it only makes sense to post a little about them. Annabelle, 3 and Lucy 1, are my life. They are the reason for my in-depth research and the reason for my constant questioning of the way we are 'told' to live our lives.

How I thought about children/mothering etc before children, couldn't be more diffrent to how I think now! If somebody like me talked about all the things I now talk about, before having kids, I would have yawned, giggled and moved on. It wasn't important to me. But the moment I fell pregnant with Annabelle my mind shifted, I felt what it is to be a woman and human. Protective and already so much inlove. The day she was born and put to my breast, that was it, I realised what life was all about.
Watching her grow and learn because of me, wow!
Then having Lucy, was a whole new feeling. Not ony did I feel an unstoppable urge to learn more about the process of conception, birth, breastfeeding and the crazy choices that are presented once becoming a mother, but I wanted to voice this urge! I wanted to not only learn but, if possible, teach.
Could I be the only one who feels this way? Will I be fighting a loosing battle to voice how feel? Will I just give up, because it would become to hard to question what we are 'told' to do? Luckly, no, Im not alone. Everyday I am inspired to push and learn more. And lately I have been told that I inspired, ha, still cant believe that!
Though many times I feel discouraged and question if I should keep pushing, going against the grain. I have to forget for a moment how many hurdles Im up against and instead, remember the hurdles I've jumped. How many people I have helped, and how many people are with me.
When it comes to our kids DONT EVER, do as you're 'told'. Question everything that doesn't feel right or natural! This is your DUTY as a parent. Your children are relying on you to make informed choices.
My girls will continue to inspire and push me to become more. Im only 23 and am slowly realising what my 'meaning' is. Im not affraid of who I am, but proud. And it's all because of these girls I have been blessed with:)

I couldn't read this and not share. Peaceful parenting: My Beautiful Boy, I Am Sorry

A friend of mine is cutting her son when he's born, without even doing ANY research. That poor baby, safe and sound in there, doesn't know what will hit him:(
I offered her info and help, she shut me down. Not a bad parent but not an informed one. When you dont inform yourself on the choices you make for your child, you can create scares, not just physical;)
